Company history

Founded in 1980 by John Newton & Alan Brackley, jnpgroup consulting engineers now has almost thirty years experience. jnpgroup consulting engineers boasts six offices around the UK in Chesham (HQ), Brighouse, Leamington Spa (Midlands), Hartlepool (Teeside), Sheffield, and Swanley (Thames gateway).

• In 1991 an additional office was opened in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
  
  
• The Sheffield office was opened in 1998.
  
  
• Amersham continued to expand throughout the 1990s and now has a total complement of nearly 60.
  
  
• Andrew Dawson and Peter Hurd were promoted to Partners in August 1991.
  
  
• The Brighouse and Sheffield Offices were combined in 1996, managed by local Partners, Stuart Evans and John Wood. Derek Smith was promoted to local Partner in 2002.
  
• Mike Hamilton was promoted to Partner in August 2000.
  
  
• Our Leamington Spa office was opened in 2001 managed by Andrew Lee. Andrew Lee was promoted to local Partner in August 2004.
  
  
• The company converted to Limited Liability Partnership status in 2003.
  
  
• Our Thames Gateway office was opened in October 2004 is managed by Tim Pope.
  
  
• Our Geo-environmental and Traffic Sections were opened in 2005, managed by Jim Twaddle and Richard Jones respectively.
  
  
• Our new Teesside office in Hartlepool, managed by Colin Cook (Associate) opened in December 2005
  
  
• After 27 years in Amersham, jnpgroup consulting engineers HQ moves to a new larger building in Chesham.
