Founded in 1980 as John Newton & Partners by John Newton & Alan Brackley, JNP Group consulting engineers now has thirty years experience. JNP Group consulting engineers boasts five offices around the UK in Chesham (HQ), Brighouse, Leamington Spa (Midlands), Hartlepool (Teesside) and Sheffield.

  • In 1991 an additional office was opened in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
  • Andrew Dawson and Peter Hurd were promoted to Partners in August 1991.
  • Stuart Evans and John Wood were promoted to Partners in 1996
  • The Sheffield office was opened in 1998, managed by Derek Smith (Associate)
  • Mike Hamilton was promoted to Partner in August 2000.
  • Our Leamington Spa office was opened in 2001 managed by Andrew Lee.
  • Derek Smith was promoted to local Partner in 2002.
  • The company converted to Limited Liability Partnership status in 2003.
  • Andrew Lee was promoted to local Partner in August 2004.
  • Our Geo-environmental and Traffic Sections were opened in 2005.
  • Our new Teesside office in Hartlepool, managed by Colin Cook (Associate) opened in December 2005
  • After 27 years in Amersham, JNP Group consulting engineers HQ moves to a new larger building in Chesham April 2007.
