Blackhall Engineering design and manufacture valves at their premises on Bradford Road in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Expansion required a warehouse extension and the construction of a second storey of offices on existing.
Working closely with the Client, JNP Group were engaged to provide Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural and CDM Co-ordinator services, taking the project through the full design and construction process, from inception to completion.
Civil/Structural services included supervising a site investigation, drainage design (including storm water attenuation), foundation design, superstructure design and the justification of the existing structure and foundations to accept the new second storey.
Architectural services included the preparation and submission of the existing and proposed plans for planning. As part of the submission a contaminated land and flood risk assessment was submitted.
Upon, receiving planning approval a specification of building works and detailed construction plans were prepared and the scheme submitted for building regulations. JNP Group assisted the Client in the preparation of tender documents and guided the Client throughout the contract stages of the project, as well as liaising with the appointed Contractor.
