How does the Flood & Water Management Act 2010 affect you?
The new Act will impose much greater liabilty on developers to obtain detailed design approval to surface water drainage at the Planning Stage rather than at detailed design stage. JNP Group have extensive experience of cost effective approaches to surface water drainage strategy and design and will be pleased to help you....
JNP Group consulting engineers services provided:
JNP Group consulting engineers provided planning, design and supervision of full geotechnical and contamination site investigation. Analysis of findings, negotiations with the Environment Agency, method statements for the avoidance of waste management regulation license and preparing 3D earthworks drawings and specifications for relocation of flue dust tip, including provision of new capping and drainage details and provision of two full size football pitches on top of the reprofiled and relocated tip.
JNP Group consulting engineers provided full earthworks, 3 dimensional analysis and cut and fill drawings, cut and fill volumes, for the earthworks contractor to move contaminated and uncontaminated soils around the site to render site safe for housing. This saved the need for exportation of contaminated material and importation of additional clean material. JNP Group consulting engineers controlled the earthworks including monitoring of compaction and gaining agreement from the Highway Authority, The Environment Agency, and NHBC following completion of earthworks.
Full civil and structural engineering design of entire estate including all drainage, roads, foundations and superstructure. Special foundations were required to all houses, consisting of insitu RC (egg box) semi rafts to take account of engineered fill site conditions. Note the use of piles was not feasible due to poor strengths of underlying soft alluvial soils. These were surcharged, as part of the earthworks operation, to remove the possibility of future settlements as a result of the development loading.
