Site Challenges
Traffic assessments indicated that the existing local road network was close to capacity whilst the Highway Authority stated that the network would not be able to absorb traffic from the proposed development.
JNP Group undertook comprehensive transport assessments with particular emphasis on potential traffic generation from the existing site. These assessments formed the basis for in-depth negotiations with the highways authority, seeking to obtain an acceptable solution for mitigation works whilst also being cost effective and relative to the extent of development.

Approved Proposals
The off-site mitigation works included a new roundabout, alterations to existing road alignment and improved pedestrian facilities. The negotiations and proposals satisfied the Highway Authority and smoothed the way towards the officer’s recommendation for approval.
JNP Group also advised on site access and servicing arrangements, internal site layout development, swept path analysis for refuse and emergency vehicles and developed tailored management plans for the on and off-site car parks.
