Main Duties

The position is within the Ground Engineering team in the Leamington Office which undertakes a variety of contamination and geotechnical projects across the UK.

Requirements

Education/Learning Experience

• You will possess a Degree in a science related discipline
• Appropriate membership of a professional Institution

Work Experience

• Familiar with Phase 1 and 2 assessments
• Supervision of ground investigations
• Geotechnical design of foundations, retaining walls, basements.
• Experience in slope stability, earthworks
• Negotiations with local authorities, Environment Agency and Building Control
• Supervision of remedial works
• Self motivated and able to manage own workload within agreed timescales
• Comply with requirements of the Office QA system

Technical Skills

• Logging of soils to BS5930
• Interpretative reporting - Geotechnical
• Good Communication Skills
• Experience of geotechnical investigation, design and reporting and the interaction with contamination issues would also be advantageous.s

Competencies

• Good Communication Skills
• Ability to supervise and manage workload of junior staff
• Represent JNP Group at meetings and in writing when required
• Control the programmed performance of projects
• You will be required to comply with the requirements of the JNP QA System.
• Be responsible for maintaining continuous professional development.
