Conversion of 1960s office building to mixed use residential apartments and retail units.
Conversion of a 1960s reinforced concrete office building to a modern residential block of 18 apartments with retail units at ground floor. The scheme involved internal modification of the original structure and the addition of steel framed penthouse apartments.
JNP Group services provided:
- Detailed design including the assessment of existing load paths, stability and loadings for the change of use and addition of penthouses to roof.
- Design and co-ordination of opening up works and repairs of original precast concrete cladding units to front and rear elevations.
- Liaison and co-ordination with steel frame designer for penthouse structures.
- Party Wall Surveyor.
