Kris is known for his collaborative approach and his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex projects. Having previously worked on major infrastructure initiatives such as;
Abu Dhabi South Island Connectivity
Kris led design upgrades to 6 consecutive intersections and structures to create a free-flowing corridor distributing traffic across the four main arterial streets that continue to the downtown core of the city. Package 3 included 3.4km of highway upgrades along Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street from 4×4 lanes to 6×6 lanes, which also included replacing two heritage bridges (Al Maqtaa Bridge) with like for like construction.
Qatar Expressway Programme
One of the world’s largest road infrastructure projects consisting of 51 different packages. Kris led the P008- C2 & C3 (E-Ring Road and Mesaimeer Road) Project, which consisted of 17.5km of highways design upgrades, 5 grade separated interchanges, 1 complex grade separated interchange, and Qatar’s first cable stayed bridge structure. Kris also led the Highways team for P007 (Al Bustan Street South) Project, which included the design of 2 grade separated interchanges, and 6km of highway design upgrades.
Qatar Local Roads & Drainage Programme
A nationwide programme that aimed to develop the roads, drainage networks and overall infrastructure in all areas of Qatar to raise the standard of living for all citizens and residents. Kris led various Local Road & Drainage Projects including a 1,570 Ha site called Umm Ebairiya, Umm Slal Ali and Umm Al-Amad , and also a 651 Ha site called Al Lijmililya Village. The design of both sites included Highways, Wet & Dry Utilities, Traffic, ITS & Signals, Structures, and Landscape.
Al Mutlaa Housing Project in Kuwait
Kris led a fast-track detailed design project for the Kuwait Public Works Authority, which consisted of 12 neighbourhoods totalling approximately 4,323 Ha, 30,000 plots, 622 km total length of highways, 200 roundabouts junctions, 800 right in right out junctions and 2,274 simple T-junctions.
